What affects how long my bread stays fresh?

Several factors affect how long bread stays fresh:

  • Type of bread: Sandwich bread can last 5–7 days, while artisanal or preservative-free bread usually lasts 2–4 days. Sourdough often stays fresh longer naturally.
  • Climate & humidity: In dry environments, bread tends to harden faster. In humid conditions, there is a higher risk of mold.
  • Storage method: Breathable storage (like this bag) helps slow down drying. Plastic can keep bread softer but may create condensation, which can affect freshness.

How do I clean the bag?

Wipe the inside with a damp cloth or rinse with mild soap and cool water. Air dry completely. Avoid hot water and machine washing to keep the inner lining in good condition.

How large are the bags?

Each bag measures 33 × 43 cm (12" × 17"). It fits large sourdough loaves, tin loaves, or two smaller loaves comfortably — no squishing or cramming.
